Printing and editing for print output is a skill that can be learned. It is about understanding the print process, best colour management workflow, how to edit your files for print quality and choosing the most appropriate paper for your work.
During this one day workshop you will learn the essentials of fine are printing. Learn how to control your tonal range, print colours and image sharpness.
This workshop will simplify and demystify the print process, with easy to understand demonstrations, paper and print explanations and helpful handouts. Allowing you to gain the confidence and understanding to create your own beautiful prints at home or prepare files to send to a professional print lab.
The workshop will be a small group, hands on learning experience giving you ample printing support and one on one time with me throughout the day. The small group size allows two people to share a print station for the day. Each print station includes an Eizo monitor, mac computer and Epson printer.
To assist you in preparing your files for the workshop I will be offering 2, 1.5 hour zoom sessions in the lead up to your print workshop. We will cover non-destructive workflow in photoshop, best post-production practice, the importance of file structure and tips on preparing your file ready for print.

will allow much more hands on time for printing during the workshop!
